The karate ESKA practises is a very traditional style called Shotokan Karate, which was devised on the Japanese island of Okinawa, by the founder of this style, Sensei Gichin Funakoshi (1868-1957).
ESKA is affiliated with the EKGB (English Karate Governing Body) which regulates all aspects of Karate in England including competitions, instruction, regulations and safety. All ESKA instructors are EKGB assessed and attend EKGB seminars to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest practices and regulations.
