Gassaku

11th July 2006
In July 05 Birchwood held their first ever Gashuku.
A Gashuku is a training vacation. The Gashuku traditionally were for Samurai warriors. They allowed time for the Samurai to train together away from the formalities of Court to hone their fighting skills and to help build and maintain their bond or brotherhood through hard training and socialising together.

The Birchwood Gashuku took place at Dobbs Weir Camping Site in Hoddesdon (Friday 8th July – Sunday 10th July) and was a great success.
